Boom! We have a Travel Blog!

Well, it seems like our life has gotten to the point where we are not quite normal. We’ve never actually been normal, but nowadays it seems like our lifestyle choices may even be blogworthy. The main purpose of the blog is to catalogue our journeys as we explore new places. We would like to travel internationally, within the United States, and within our home state of Minnesota. We love to camp and have set a goal of camping in every Minnesota State Park Campground! Next week we’re headed to Mexico for about a month. Oaxaca for a few weeks and then Puerto Vallarta for a week for my sister’s wedding. In Oaxaca we’re staying with a host family and taking Spanish classes. Oaxaca is the food capital of Mexico and I am pretty excited to try the street food! This summer we’re planning a month and a half camping trip throughout Minnesota. We’ll be staying at several Minnesota State Park Campgrounds, going to two family camps, and hopefully canoe camping for a few days down the St Croix River.

We made it to Oaxaca, Mexico! We've been in Oaxaca for almost two weeks now and I am starting to feel guilty about starting a travel blog and paying for this domain and not writing any blog posts. So far we have been thoroughly enjoying our trip! Overall our Mexico Adventure is broken up into two parts, a 3 1/2 stay in Oaxaca City and a one week stay in Puerta Vallarta for my sister's wedding. We chose mountain city of Oaxaca because it is a wonderful hub of traditional Mexican Culture. The whole family is taking 3 hours of Spanish classes 5 days a week at a school called Becari. It's awesome, but we move through the lessons very quickly and this much time and effort has been exhausting. We're loving the classes but looking forward to our one week of actual vacation in Puerta Vallarta. Oaxaca has tons of rich history, a wonderful culture, and is world-renowned as place to eat some incredible Mexican cuisine! I haven't stepped on a scale but I am sure I am gainin...
